Thin Aluminum Strips for Transformer

Transformers are mainly used to increase or decrease voltage in a circuit. Among them, the transformer winding plays a key role in operation. Transformer winding materials are aluminum and copper, which are the most commonly used conductors in transformer windings. Copper has high mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, while aluminum is a lower cost and lighter material than copper. Thin aluminum strips are used in small and medium sized transformers.

Aluminum strip for transformer are divided into different grades, specifications, and states according to their uses. The aluminum alloys are 1060, 1050, 1050A, 1060, 1070, 1070A and 1350. O represents the soft state, and numbers can be used to indicate the degree of softness and hardness, and the degree of annealing. The thickness is between 0.08-3.00mm.

1050 O aluminum strip has high electrical and thermal conductivity. In the actual application process of transformers, 1050 O aluminum strips are usually used as support materials to form transformer windings, which can reduce the loss of transformers and improve the performance of transformers.

1060 aluminum strip has good elongation and tensile strength, which can fully meet the needs and uses of all walks of life. 1060 aluminum strip alloy has high formability. Its aluminum content reaches more than 99.6%, and it belongs to a commonly used series in the aluminum strip family.

1100 aluminum strip The 1100 aluminum strip belongs to the 1XXX alloy series aluminum strip. The 1100 aluminum strip is also industrial pure aluminum, and the aluminum content accounts for 99.00%. It cannot be thermally treated.

The performance process of 1100 aluminum strip is basically the same as that of 1050A. The 1110 aluminum strip is preferred to be used for products with high requirements for good processing and forming performance and corrosion resistance, but not high requirements for strength.

For aluminum strip slitting, quality inspectors should pay close attention to whether there are scratches during the winding process of the equipment, because if there are foreign objects in the equipment during the longitudinal cutting process, it will cause the aluminum strip for sale to have scratches from the beginning to the end. Therefore, quality inspectors should pay attention to scratches during the winding process. If scratches are found, stop immediately and find out the cause.
